Prayer
PURPOSE:
We know through your compassion and love, the Lord will bless many.
The Lord has called us all to lift up the prayer needs of those in the church and our community who are hurting and have cares and concerns.
VISION:
At Calvary Chapel Santa Fe Springs, we are firmly committed to the belief that prayer is not an option in the Christian life; it is a privilege as well as a command. The Prayer Ministry Team needs to be willing to make a commitment to serve on a regular basis for the prayer needs that are shared with us.
The Bible says that we should “pray without ceasing… in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5: 17, 18).
Jesus Himself told His disciples that, “…men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18: 1). He also said, “when you pray go into your room and when you have shut your door pray to your Father who is in the secret place and your Father who sees you in secret will reward you openly” (Matthew 6: 6).
WANTING TO GET INVOLVED? HERE'S HOW!
WHO: Anyone who has a desire to serve and pray for others.
WHAT: Provide prayer to those in need after each main service.
WHEN: We meet quarterly for meetings. We serve in the main sanctuary after services.
WHERE: In the main sanctuary after service.
HOW: If you would like to join the Prayer Ministry or would like more information, you may contact the Church Office at 562-906-0697.
