Church Service:
Because we are a Bible-based church whose mission is to teach the Word of God, strengthen believers, and send out disciples to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, we study through the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. Want a preview? Check out our past studies!
Our service begins with prayer and praising the Lord in song. After our opening worship songs, we highlight upcoming church events and inform the congregation of opportunities to serve. The bulk of our remaining time together is spent studying the Bible. Pastors and leaders are available after service to meet you, speak with you, and to pray for you.
There is plenty of parking all around the church building.
There are two entrances you can use to enter the building – the double-door entrances along Florence Avenue and Norwalk Boulevard. At each of these entrances, you will be welcomed by a greeter who can direct you to any part of our facility.
For our Sunday morning service, our congregants usually dress in a manner best described as casual to business casual. For our other church services and meetings, congregants enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and typically dress casually.
For the Kids:
Because we understand that children and adults learn differently and at different levels, we offer age appropriate Bible study classes for your children during each of our regularly scheduled Sunday and Wednesday Bible studies. All classes are taught by teachers versed in the Bible and who have been subjected to a background check.
Our children and youth classes are separated as follows:
Nursery: Newborns and 1 year-olds
Children: 2 year-olds through 6th grade
Youth: 7th through 12th grade
Any of our greeters, ushers, or Information Desk volunteers can assist you in finding the designated classroom(s) for your children. We suggest arriving 10 minutes before service to ensure you have time to walk your children to their respective classroom(s) and to check them in before making your way into the Main Sanctuary.
If you would like to sit with your young children, we have an area of overflow seating available in our foyer.
Your kids' safety is a top priority at CCSFS. Our teachers, teacher’s assistants, and nursery volunteers are subjected to a background check and trained to effectively work with children. These all work together to serve the needs of parents and their children by demonstrating the love of Jesus in their respective classrooms.
For newborns through 3 year-old children, parents are given a pager so that they can be reached in the Main Sanctuary if necessary. For convenience, we have designated seats for those parents who have been given a pager so that they may enter and exit the Main Sanctuary with as little difficulty as possible.
For 4 year-old children through those who are in the 6th grade, parents are asked to leave their cell phone number with their child’s teacher so that they can be reached in the Main Sanctuary if necessary.
If you have a newborn or child that you would like to sit with you during service, we invite you to sit in our foyer where we have chairs set up during service and you are able to view the service through the screens on the wall. We also offer a nursing mothers room located on the Children’s Ministry side of the building where you are able to watch the service through a livestream.
