Linda serves in the church office and oversees the LIFT Women's Discipleship and Information Table ministry. In addition, she is part of the teaching team for the Women's Studies and is involved in counseling.
Her early years were spent in the beautiful mountains of Virginia surrounded by a loving, supportive family. In her early teens, her family moved to the coast of Virginia where she encountered bullying and a sense of isolation. Her life soon became one dominated by fear and insecurity.
All of this changed in 1973. During that time, she met and married Jay, the love of her life. Most importantly, a few months later, a Baptist missionary came to their home and shared the gospel message. She yielded her life to the Lord that night, and He filled her with a peace and joy she had never experienced.
After moving back to California she and Jay began attending Calvary Chapel Downey. Through the next 40 years they would attend several different Calvary Chapels and serve in a wide variety of ministries.
In 2001 Linda received a BA from CSULB which opened the door for her to minister to children with learning difficulties and their parents.
In November 2009 the Lord lead them to Calvary Chapel Santa Fe Springs where they found a loving fellowship that became their church home.
Linda enjoys long walks with Jay, spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and cooking.
